        <p>The digital protection of intangible cultural heritage ( hereinafter referred to as " intangible cultural heritage " ) has become an important strategy to ensure its sustainable inheritance and vitality. In order to promote the living inheritance and innovative development of Rongchang ceramics, a national intangible cultural heritage project, this study takes Rongchang ceramics ( Antao ) as the core research object, and systematically discusses the mechanism of digital technology applied to the protection and activation of intangible cultural heritage. Based on field investigation, multi-dimensional data collection and virtual reality ( VR ) technology, a complete digital inheritance system of Rongchang ceramics was constructed. The system includes three key parts : ( 1 ) the establishment of digital resource library ; ( 2 ) Interactive digital modeling and visualization of traditional ceramic production process ; ( 3 ) Development and deployment of immersive VR experience platform. Crucially, this approach not only enables explicit recording and encoding of tacit knowledge - including the unique properties of Rongchang clay, handcrafting techniques, and kiln firing procedures - but also provides deep immersive, experiential cultural practice engagement for different users. The results show that digital tools effectively alleviate the long-standing challenges of traditional intangible cultural heritage communication - especially the inefficiency of ' oral teaching ' and the limitations of static and non-interactive display - thus establishing a robust and replicable paradigm for the dynamic, participatory and innovative revitalization of Rongchang ceramic culture.</p>
